Borage Seed Oil for Dry/Itchy/Dehydrated/Wrinkled Skin
Borage Seed Oil, also known as Starflower is rich in Omega 6 Essential Fatty Acids (Its the richest source of Gamma Linolenic Acids/GLAs). Borage Oil is very Nourishing and moisturizing Oil which penetrates well but it might leave your skin feeling a bit oily that is the reason why this oil is suitable for people with Dry/Dehydrated, Mature Skin which needs deep moisturization. Its a wonderful remedy for eczema too. Since Borage Oil is a little heavy its usually added at 10%-20% to other Lighter Carrier Oils for best result. It is pale yellow in color and is expensive compared to other Carrier Oils. If you have Dry/Dehydrated/Mature Skin, Borage Oil can do wonders for you. It restores and repairs damaged skin tissues and reduces Fine Lines and Wrinkles. I love to use Borage Oil on my face , at least once a week. I don’t mind using it neat because my skin easily drinks it up in winter:)

Pumpkin Sugar Scrub Recipe For Face And Body

Today I am gonna share Pumpkin Sugar Scrub Recipe which can be used on face as well as body.
Pumpkin is rich in Beta-carotene, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Zinc and Natural Enzymes and Sugar is rich in Alpha Hydroxy Acids(AHAs) and a combination of these 2 ingredients makes a powerful exfoliator that sloughs off dead skin cells and gives you soft, supple and glowing skin.
Take 5-6 Tbsp Pumpkin pulp, 3 tbsp. Sugar and 1/2 Tsp. Pumpkin Seed Oil , mix them together to make a thick paste. Apply it on your face and gently scrub after 2-3 minutes.
Take 1 Cup Pumpkin Pulp and 1/3 Cup Sugar if you are using it for the entire body.
Essential Oils can be of great help when it comes to skin care and hair care. I can’t do without essential oils because I know that they work wonders so I add it to almost every thing including skin care and hair care recipes. I love to add essential oils to my bath, facial mask recipes, night serum, hair care recipes, to deal with PMS, when I am feeling low or depressed and lots of other common ailments.
Here’s an Essential Oil Blend for Split Ends And Hair Fall
You will need:
5 Drops Rosewood Essential Oil
5 Drops Rosemary Essential Oil
5 Drops Coriander Essential Oil
2 oz. Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
Mix these oils together and store it in a dark glass bottle away from light and heat. Apply when required and shampoo after one hour. You can even buy unscented shampoo and add these essential oils(only essential oils not coconut oil). This oil blend promotes Hair Growth and helps you get rid of Dandruff and Split Ends.
